Swati Chaturvedi 's Daddy's Girl is book based on Aarushi Talwar murder case. The book deals with the fight of a journalist to prove guilty of a family who killed their teenage daughter. The central character in the story is Meera Upadhyay , a journalist. Ambika a teenage girl found dead on her house. Babloo, her servant also murdered in the same house on the next day. Meera is journalist who try to solve the mystery behind this deaths. The book is all about her investigation to find out the killers. Ambika belongs to Nalwas a famous family in the town.So the murder case becomes India's number one news.Police questioned so many persons and arrested some of them but they can't find the actual accused. After all the inquires Meera found that her parents are the killers because Ambika had a relationship with Babloo. In order to save the reputation and dignity of family they kill them.

             The book is based on Aarushi Talwar murder case.13 year old Aarushi Talwar was found dead with her throat slit in her bead room in Noida on may 16 2008. At first , the primary suspect was 45 year old Hemraj Banjade , who was hired help at Aarushi's house ,until he too found dead on the terrace of the Talwar home. Aarushi is daughter of Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar. Many persons were questioned by police and some of them was arrested but they can't find the actual killer. Later the case was handed over to CBI. CBI arrested Rajesh and Nupur. According to them, on the night of the murders,Rajesh heared a noise and assumed it had come from Banjade's room. He didn't find anyone in there and picked up the golf club from Banjade's room before entering Aarushi's. There he saw the pair engaged in sexual activity. Rajesh clubbed the servant over the head.When he tried to hit him again,Banjade moved leading the father to accidently strike his own daughter. By the time nupur was awakened by the noise and rushed into the room,both Banjade and Aarushi were near death.Both checked Aarushi's pulse and found her near dead which scared them and they decided to kill Hemraj so no one discovered the incident. They wrapped Banjade's body up and took him to the terrace to get rid of his corpse another time. They slit his throat and decides to do the same to their daughter. They also cleaned her vagina. In November 2013, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were sentenced to life imprisonment.In 2017 Allahabad High court overturned the CBI court judgment. They get acquitted on October 12,2017 due to lack of Evidence.
